I'm a 26 year old Audiovisual designer and Game Developer from Tilburg (NL). I'm driven by a strong passion for creative technologies and interdisciplinary works of digital art. I enjoy exploring a variety of artistic styles by combining different software and hardware in Animation, Graphic or Interactive Design, challenging myself both technically and creatively.
Learning and researching new software and technologies is always a great rewarding experience to me, making me very broadly oriented on current creation tools and possibilities.
As i'm fluent in C# coding, and learning C++ and Pyton, it's easy for me to develop custom creation tools aiding in my design process. Because of my broad range of interests, i have developed a wide ranging generalist skillset, with experience in many pieces of soft/hardware.
I started developing games at 12 years old when i borrowed a library book with instructions for Gamemaker Studio, containing a CD with a demo of the software. here i learned simple visual programming, followed by some basic Java (GML). since i've played videogames as long as i can remember, i naturally got obsessed with trying to recreate some of my favorite games. fair to say i never returned that library book. after highschool i directly started studying Game Development at Sintlucas Eindhoven, where i quickly fell in love with developing 3D games, and Virtual Reality technology. here i also realised the medium of gaming can be much more than just entertainment. after honing my skills, and having won the prestigious Indigo Award with one of my VR projects, i decided to continue this path into HBO, continueing my studies at HKU University of Arts Utrecht.
As a life long enjoyer of Electronic music, i naturally got involved with my local dance music and nightlife scene, to which i was able to contribute early on through my skills in design while i was studying at SintLucas in Eindhoven. After having designed simple promotional content and show visuals for my own events i was hosting, i started receiving more requests from larger events. during this time i had also just learned how to VJ for fun. i built an ever growing network of people who started working as professionals in the dance industry, who involved me in increasingly larger productions. I have now done over 50 VJ shows on some of the most renowned festivals around the Netherlands (Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, Paaspop, Parookaville, Rampage, Dour, Rebirth, etc)
things i enjoy most during my time off work are:
