Through collaborator FØURTH STUDIO, I came in contact with the organisation of CRUSH, who were looking for a VJ and animator to design visual show branding for their latest event. the big vertical LED wall was the big central object in their stage design, and was very important to the overall expression of the event night. They briefed me on their branded style guide, and provided me their assets to create expressive visual content. Since the LED wall is a central object, I really wanted the visuals to emphasise this. I decided to come up with a Deco look with 3D rendered metal box in a low perspective, in which all visuals will have their place. In Resolume I mapped and rotated fake slices to all sides of the box perfectly, which allowed me to play all kinds of regular VJ content on all 5 sides of the box. inside the box I created some central branded elements, and make them feel like they are integrated into this stage deco. to simplify the workflow around their strict color-coding per set, I collaborated with the LD to let him control my visual colorisation over DMX.
